 Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) is a professional cricket franchise based in Bangalore, India. The team participates in the Indian Premier League (IPL), which is a professional Twenty20 cricket league in India. RCB was one of the eight founding teams of the IPL and has been a part of the tournament since its inception in 2008.

The team is owned by United Spirits, a subsidiary of the British alcoholic beverages company Diageo. RCB's home ground is the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore, which has a seating capacity of around 35,000 spectators.

Over the years, RCB has had a passionate fan base and has featured several high-profile players in its squad. The team is known for its vibrant red and gold team colors. RCB has reached the IPL finals on three occasions but has yet to win the championship. The team finished as runners-up in 2009, 2011, and 2016.

Some notable players who have represented RCB include Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers, Chris Gayle, and Anil Kumble. Virat Kohli has been the captain of RCB since 2013 and has been one of the key figures in the team's batting lineup.
