Rabindranath Tagore

Rabindranath Tagore (1861-1941) was a Bengali poet, philosopher, and polymath who is widely regarded as one of the most important literary figures in modern Indian literature. He was the first non-European to win the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1913 for his collection of poems, "Gitanjali". Tagore's works often dealt with themes of universalism, humanism, nature, and spirituality. He was also a social reformer and an advocate for Indian independence. Some of his other notable works include the novels "The Home and the World" and "Gora", and the plays "The Post Office" and "Muktadhara".

World Environment Day

 W orld Environment Day 2023:  World Environment Day  is the largest global event celebrated by millions on June 5.  The event led by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) was first celebrated on 5 June 1973, and this year marks its 50th anniversary. This year's  theme for World Environment Day will focus on ‘Solutions to Plastic Pollution’ under the campaign #BeatPlasticPollution, encouraging worldwide activism. And Côte d'Ivoire in partnership with the Netherlands will host World Environment Day 2023 campaign event.  World Environment Day is a global campaign and a public outreach platform.  The international occasion is enthusiastically observed by educational and non-educational organizations. There are several competitions held in schools, including ones for Dancing, Singing, Essays, and Speech for World Environment Day.
